The Indian government banned BGMI (Battlegrounds Mobile India), sometime in the past year. Gamers have been curious since the ban whether the game would ever be allowed to return to the Google Play Store. Krafton soon confirmed that the company was in talks with the government to try and bring the game back.
After several months of speculation, rumors within and outside the gaming industry suggest that BGMI may be returning next month. It’s 2023, surprise! Let’s see.
Google Play Store could bring back BGMI in January
AFK gaming has reported that both Alpha Clasher (and Hector) claim that BGMI will soon become available on Android.
In his latest livestream, a player called predatorsasuke joined Alpha Clasher and claimed to have worked for Google. He then revealed the return date of Alpha Clasher. He stated that BGMI would be returning to Google Play Store in January 2015.
Hector also provided the same timeline. Hector was asked about BGMI’s return in his livestream and he answered that it would be January.
According to the gamer, “The game will return in January. Someone from Google stated this.” Although I do not know the person, I heard it. This person is important to the Google community. He is someone who is in a leadership role.
“It doesn’t matter if someone in the gaming community tells you that the game will be returning. The person stated that the game would be back on 15 January.
Both parties have stated the same release date. If it is legitimate, we will know within the next few weeks. Krafton has not confirmed the date yet so you should take it with a grain of salt.
Krafton must adhere to all safety and privacy policies if the game is released.
