Los Angeles toddler aged 2 was attacked by a coyote. The animal dragged her along her feet, before her frazzled father saved her.
The Friday footage shows the father of the little girl packing up their black SUV outside their Woodland Hills house as a coyote sneaks up and snoops on the toddler.
The animal approaches the little girl and knocks her off her feet. Meanwhile, the coyote attempts to drag her away with her legs.
The child’s frantic cries alarm her father, who rushes to her aid, grabs her and shouts at the coyote.
“I heard her screaming, crying, and I thought she had fallen down, and I saw that the coyote was also there,” her father, Ariel Eliyahuo, said NBC 4.
You can see the panicked pop picking up a plastic water container and throwing it at coyotes.
Shira Eliyahuo was the mother of the child and ran frantically to get her daughter’s help.
She said that she saw her pants stained with blood and took them off to see if there were any scratches. “We needed to get a shot against rabies and we hope that everything will be okay.”
Ring’s doorbell camera captured the terrifying broad-daylight attack.
The couple have lived in Los Angeles for three years and claim that they often spot coyotes in their neighborhood. However, the animals are generally afraid of humans.
Her mother stated that although there are many coyotes around, they often run away.
According to her parents, the little girl suffered non-life-threatening injuries and received a rabies shot. However, she is too scared to venture outside.
California officials took the bloody clothes of the young girl to match its DNA with the coyote in order trap it and euthanize her.
