Tuesday saw the launch of a new range in gaming laptops by Gigabyte in India. The company also released laptops from its G5 series, which focuses on the lower end segment. The 12th generation Intel Core i5 processor powers the new range, along with Nvidia RTX3060 graphics.
The price range starts at Rs 77,000 and goes up to Rs 1,03,000. Let’s look at the details.
New specifications and features for the Gigabyte G5 Series
Three laptops make up the new Gigabyte G5 series: Gigabyte G5 KE (Gigabyte G5 Me), Gigabyte G5 ME (Gigabyte GE). The Intel Core i5 processor powers the entire range and features a similar design.
The Gigabyte G5 series features a matte black finish and a 15.6-inch Full HD screen. The Gigabyte G5 series has a 144Hz high-resolution refresh rate, which is ideal for gaming. The Intel Core i5-12500H processor powers all three models. It has a base frequency at 2.5 GHz and a maximum frequency at 4.5 GHz.
The processor comes with 8GB DDR4 RAM, which is at 3200 MHz. All models have 512GB M.2 Gen4 SSD storage.
The Gigabyte G5 KE model is the highest-end model and features a 6GB Nvidia RTX3060 GPU. The Gigabyte G5 ME comes with a 4GB Nvidia RTX3050Ti GPU, while the Gigabyte G5 GE is equipped with a 4GB Nvidia RTX3050Ti GPU.
The G5 series is designed for gaming and comes with Gigabyte’s proprietary cooling technology, the WINDFORCE cooling system. These laptops have 59 blade dual fans, 5 heatpipes and 4 exhaust vents to help dissipate heat while gaming.
The battery is 54Wh and supports 180W charging on G5 KE, 150W on G5 ME, and G5 GE. All three come with Windows 11 Home Edition, and a 1 year free Microsoft Office 365 Personal Version.
India’s new Gigabyte G5 series prices
The Gigabyte G5 GE costs Rs 77,887 while the G5 ME costs Rs 85,801 and G5 KE is Rs 1,038,890. The laptops come pre-loaded with Microsoft Office 365 and come with a 2-year warranty. Flipkart and all other offline retailers in India can sell the laptops.
