On January 9, a Go First plane bound for Delhi reportedly left the airport without carrying more than 50 passengers. They were waiting in a shuttle bus to board. The incident was reported by DGCA, an aviation watchdog.
“… In the instant case multiple errors such as lack of communication, coordination, reconciliation, and confirmation have led to a highly avoidable scenario,” said the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, (DGCA), in a statement.
The regulator has sent the Show Cause Notice to the Chief Operation Officer/ Accountable Manager of Go First stating why they should not be subject to enforcement action for non-compliance with their regulatory obligations.
The statement stated that they were given two weeks to reply to DGCA. Based on their response, further action would be taken.
