Goodwin Liu is an associate judge on the California Supreme court. On 8th November, he will be seeking his retention vote. He was appointed Judge by Jerry Brown, the California Governor. He won a retain election in 2014. Jerry Brown, a member of the Democratic Party, served as Secretary and Attorney General for California State.
Goodwill was also a Democrat Parry politician and donated money to Democratic candidates. Liu was also a registered Democrat during the years prior to 20220.

Liu is a law expert and is well-known as being socially liberal. He supported affirmative action, same-gender marriage, and abortion rights. Six of his six judgments on the bench were unanimous during his first year. Since his arrival, Liu has already provided 155 opinions in criminal cases and 84 opinions in civil cases. Out of his 84 civil opinions, 52 were majority judgments, 22 were concurring, and 10 were dissensions.
Goodwin’s Criminal Cases 155 opinion consists 67 majority opinions. 2018 had 11 opinions. This is Goodwin’s highest workload year. Goodwin LIU Review identified 2014 and 2017 as his lowest workload years with five majorities opinions.
