
Shaktisinh Gohil, the new Haryana Congress in-charge, held Tuesday’s meeting of several committees that were constituted for the party’s Bharat Jodo Yotra. It is due to enter the state on Dec 21.
The first phase, led by Rahul Gandhi, of the Bharat Jodo Yatra (Haryana) will run until December 23. The Yatra will enter Haryana again from Uttar Pradesh via Sanoli Khurd, Panipat district, in the second phase.
The Yatra began in Kanyakumari, September 7, and has covered Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. It also included Telangana and Maharashtra. It is currently in Rajasthan and will end in Jammu and Kashmir early in February 2023.
Ashok Arora, a senior leader in Haryana Congress, stated that the meeting on Tuesday decided the responsibilities and route for the yatra. Arora, who is part of one of these committees, attended the meeting in Delhi with senior leaders. They stated that the Haryana leg will be held in two phases.
Recently, the Haryana Congress established 14 committees and assigned party leaders responsibility for the Bharat Jodo Yotra.
Firozpur Jhirka, Nuh district, will host the yatra. The night stay will be in Bhadas Village. It will then move towards Faridabad on December 23.
A big rally will take place in Panipat, January 7, after Haryana is re-entered in the second phase. Arora stated that the yatra will enter Punjab once it has passed through Karnal and Kurukshetra.
The meeting was attended by former Haryana chief minister, Leader of Opposition in state Assembly Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Udai Bhan president of the state Congress, Rajya Sabha MPs Deepender Singh Hooda and Randeep Singh Surjewala, as well as senior leaders and members from all committees.
