Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal took aim at RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s “Hindusthan should still Hindusthan” remark. He said he was in agreement with the statement but that ” Insaan (human beings) should not be changed Insaan.”
According to Mr. Bhagwat, Muslims do not have anything to fear in India. However, they should abandon their “boisterous rhetoric about supremacy”.
Interview with Organiser and Panchjanya: Mr. Bhagwat stated that “The simple truth of the matter is that Hindusthan should continue to be Hindusthan.” The Muslims who live in Bharat today are not at risk… Islam is safe. However, Muslims must also abandon their ostentatious rhetoric of supremacy.”
“We are an exalted race. We once ruled this land and will again. Only our path is right. Rest everyone is wrong. Because we are all different, we can’t live together. They (Muslims), must end this narrative. The RSS chief stated that all who live here, whether they are Hindus or communists, must abandon this logic.
Responding to these remarks, Mr. Sibal tweeted, “Bhagwat, ‘Hindusthan should stay Hindusthan’, Agree. But: Insaan should remain Insaan.” Bhagwat said that the rise in aggression among Hindus around the world was also due to a rebirth of a society that has been at war since over 1000 years.
