Rupnik, director of the Centro Aletti Rome, was the original creator of the official picture of the 2022 World Meeting of Families. He has been designing mosaic artworks for churches, chapels, and shrines all over the globe for more than 30 years.
Most well-known is the Jesuit who oversaw the renovation of Redemptoris Mater Chapel, Vatican’s Apostolic Palace. This chapel was reopened in 1999, after three years of hard work.
Rupnik also designed Redemptor Hominis Church at St. John Paul II National Shrine in Washington, D.C., and other projects in the U.S.
Despite restrictions on his public ministry on Nov. 30, Rupnik was awarded an honorary Doctorate by the Pontifical Catholic University of Parana, Brazil.
The Centro Aletti continues to publish a video every Sunday of Rupnik commenting about the Sunday Gospel. A video by Rupnik about Eucharistic Adoration was posted by the Diocese of Rome.
