Authorities said that a Mississippi man slapped another man in a fit rage over playing golf together.
Mark Wells (51), allegedly bit into the victim’s nostrils in a casino parking garage Monday night, and then fled the scene in his Tesla, before turning himself in to police two days later.
Bay St. Louis police said that Wells and the victim had been arguing over a round of golf they had played at Bridges Golf Course next to the casino earlier in the day.
The men continued to quarrel over the round throughout day, until it reached its peak in the Hollywood Casino parking lot at 9:30 p.m., when Wells of Biloxi allegedly choked on the man’s head.
Police said that the man was left with a disfigured face from his alleged horrific attack.
He was accused of felony mayhem. If convicted, he could spend up to seven years prison.
After turning himself in Wednesday morning, Wells was taken to the Hancock County Jail. Local station WXXV-25 reported that Wells was released within minutes after he paid 10% of the $50,000 bond.
