The key specifications of the Red Magic 8 Pro series were revealed by the Chinese smartphone manufacturer on Wednesday, just days before the official launch of these new handsets. The Red Magic 8 Pro series will see two new smartphones. This gave users a glimpse at the design and key specifications of the smartphone. This smartphone is the first to use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
The smartphone manufacturer revealed the design for the Nubia Red Magic 8 PRO and Nubia Red Magic 8 transparent edition through a post on Weibo Wednesday. This also included the previously announced launch date, December 26.
The company posted that the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro would be available in two versions — the Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro or the Nubia Red Magic 8 transparent edition. The handset will sport a rectangular design and flat edges. This is quite different from the Red Magic 7 Pro.
According to company details, both variants will include a 50-megapixel Samsung GN5 primary sensor camera sensor. The Nubia Red Magic 8 Transparent edition image also features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 icon.
The new gaming smartphone’s display will be made from a BOE panel that has been symmetrically 1.48mm thick. The company claims that the handset will have a 93.7 percent ratio screen-to-body.
The upcoming gaming smartphone will have a front-facing camera for selfies. However, it is not revealed what specifications the under-display camera is.
According to a report from GSMArena, the Nubia Red Magic 8 Transparent Edition may have different specifications than the regular model. However, both variants will likely feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Generation 2 SoC.
