
BBC World News’ live broadcasting team broadcast from the balcony of Brennan Hall’s Rose Room on The University of Scranton. Ted Tait, a Scranton graduate and chief engineer of the BBC, Washington, D.C. Bureau, was part of the BBC team that broadcast live reports and interviews throughout the day on October 31.
Jean Harris, University of Scranton Professor of Political Science, was interviewed by Laura Trevelyan, BBC World News America anchor, during the broadcast.
Students Alexander Nunez from Hackettstown in New Jersey and Kelly Nee from Hopatcong in New Jersey were student ambassadors. They are both electronic media and journalism majors. Nee is also the editor of The Aquinas Scranton’s student newspaper. The University’s Public Relations Intern Edward Fargis was also present. He is an English major from Ho Ho Kus in New Jersey. Rev. Rev. Joseph Marina, S.J. was the president of the University and visited the BBC team during a commercial break.
