Rankin, a Glaswegian-born photographer, shared his experiences with Queen Elizabeth II. He said that he felt empowered as soon as she entered the room.
The photographer stated, “I’ve never felt such an aura”
The photographer also added the strange habit of Queen Elizabeth II, stating that Queen Elizabeth II disliked her hands and never wanted them photographed.
“I was like, ‘I really want you to photograph me holding the sword.’ And she replied, ‘I don’t like my hands.’ The photographer agreed.
“It’s probably not appropriate to say that she dislikes her hands, but I loved her intelligence and the amazing response she gave to everything she said,” she added.
It was amazing. “I loved it. I only spent five minutes with her so I don’t know her intimately,” she added.
Rankin stated that he was later contacted to Buckingham Palace, and was informed that his portrait of Her Majesty was their favorite.
“I received a really incredible note from the curator saying that my photograph of her was one of their favourites. I believe this means the Palace’s favourite, because she’s laughing in my photo,” said the photographer.
“I was in the throne area and she was walking down the corridor. I could see the footman and her walking. The photographer said that they were laughing and cracking up.
