Redmi K60 are expected to be part of the upcoming lineup?

After initial speculations, Lu Weibing (General Manager of Redmi) confirmed that the Redmi K60 series will soon be launched in China. Although the Xiaomi executive didn’t reveal the exact launch date or specifications, a new leak suggests that the Redmi K series phones will officially go on sale in China on December 27. Redmi K60 Pro and regular Redmi K60 are expected to be part of the upcoming lineup. The device is expected to go on sale December 31. Both the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoCs are expected to power the first.

Lu Weibing teased the Redmi K60 series via a post on Weibo. Although the post does not reveal much about the smartphone series, Lu Weibing claims that it will be a “performance universe”. It’s also shown with a “coming soon” label. The exact launch date and timing of the Redmi K60 series launch is still unknown.

Separately, Sahil Karoul (Sahil), a well-known Indian tipter, has given tips on Twitter about the launch date and details for the Redmi K60 series. The tipster claims that the handset will launch in China on December 27. The handset is expected to be available for purchase starting December 31. These details match previous leaks.

Redmi K60 Pro is expected to be powered with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen2 SoC. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC is expected to power the vanilla Redmi K60. The display is expected to have a 2K resolution.

Redmi K60 may have a 6.67 inch display and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi K60 could also feature a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 64 megapixel main camera sensor with OIS and an 8 megapixel ultrawide camera as well as a 2-megapixel macro sensor. It is expected to have a 16-megapixel camera for selfies. It will be powered by a 5,500mAh lithium battery that supports 67W fast charging as well as 30W wireless charging.
