
Google Stadia will be shutting down on January 18, 2023. Ubisoft announced that its cloud-based gaming platform, Google Stadia, will be shut down on January 18, 2023.
Ubisoft announced in a blog post that it would provide free PC versions for all Ubisoft titles purchased on Stadia. These games will automatically be added to the users’ library through Ubisoft Connect, according to the game developer. To transfer the games, users will need to connect their Stadia accounts and Ubisoft accounts.
The company also stated that they will be transferring any items users have purchased on cross-progression games. Users will be able play their games on any platform or PC they choose, right from Stadia. provides a complete list of cross-progression games. The company won’t transfer any virtual currency users have in their games to Ubisoft Connect, or any other platform. However, Stadia users can still use their virtual currency to purchase items. These can then be transferred.
The company also stated that all users who subscribe to Ubisoft+ Multi-Access via Stadia will receive an email with instructions for how to sign up through the Ubisoft+ website. A voucher will be sent to them for a one-month free subscription to Ubisoft+. In a blog post, stated that Ubisoft subscribers in the US can stream Ubisoft+ games through Amazon Luna. Existing Ubisoft+ Multi-Access subscribers from outside the US will be eligible for a six-month discount.
The company also announced that they will give away one month of GeForce Priority membership to all Ubisoft customers who sign up for Stadia. This will allow them to stream Ubisoft games on a variety of devices.
