
Microsoft is reportedly testing Windows Subsystem For Android (WSA), on Windows 11. This beta version of Android 13 will allow for Microsoft to run Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA). An official GitHub discussion thread announced that the Windows Subsystem For Android 13 is now available for members of the Windows Subsystem Android Preview Program. The company listed 9 performance improvements and fixes in its latest WSA update to Android 13 support on Windows 11.
A post by Tim Kurtzman on GitHub, who is a Software Engineering Lead at Microsoft for more than 20 years, states that WSA version 2211.40000.7.0 for Windows 11 would arrive with Android 13, for those who registered to the Windows Subsystem for Android Preview Program. According to the latest WSA, it will improve your boot speed by as much as 50%. Improvements have been made to clipboard stability, mouse click input and application resizing.
The Windows Subsystem for Android was updated to Android 13. The Intel bridge technology has also undergone an upgrade to match the latest Android version. The new command shuts down WSA to automate has been also added. Reliability has been improved for media files located on an Android smartphone opening in Windows. Jumplist entries were also introduced to support app shortcuts.
The post states that Microsoft invites reviewers to provide feedback via the Feedback Hub for Windows System for Android on WSA for Android 13.
To test the new WSA for Windows 11 beta, users will need to register to the Windows Subsystem for Android Preview Program by visiting Microsoft’s website and signing up with a Microsoft Account. The wait time can be up to seven days. These new features will be pushed to the Amazon Appstore, which will be available in the Microsoft Store.
It is important that you note that no official confirmation has been made about when the stable WSA Windows 11 with Android 13 support will be available to all Windows 11 users other than betas.
