
A woman passenger didn’t know that she was pregnant and gave birth on the flight last week. She had gone to the toilet with stomach pains. Tamara, a woman identified as Tamara was flying on KLM Royal Dutch from Guyaquil Ecuador to Amsterdam. She unexpectedly gave birth to everyone. Ms Tamara was on a flight from Ecuador to Spain with a stop at Schipol Airport in Amsterdam.
“She felt sick a few hours before she arrived in the Netherlands and decided to go to the bathroom,” a spokesperson from Spaarne Gasthuis Haarlem Zurid hospital said NL Times. She also added, “To her surprise, she suddenly had a baby in both her hands after two contractions.”
The hospital stated that Tamara had no idea that she was pregnant.
According to New York Post a spokesperson for the airline said that Ms Tamara was assisted by two doctors and a nurse from Austria. “For which we are very thankful to them.” Authorities also revealed that Ms Tamara gave birth to Maximiliano after one of the passengers who helped her.
KLM airline stated that both the mother and her baby are doing well at the moment. KLM airline also stated that the mother and baby were transported by ambulance to Spaarne Gasthuis upon their arrival at Schiphol.
According to the outlet, “Both Tamara (and Maximiliano) were fortunately in good health.” The team at the birthing unit did everything to ensure that Maximiliano and Tamara received the best possible care. Maximiliano’s paperwork was also completed. Maximiliano and Tamara will soon travel to Madrid. Spaarne Gasthuis sincerely wishes them all the best! They added.
