
Along with its new smartphones, Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro, Xiaomi introduced a variety of products. A new Xiaomi Watch S2, Xiaomi Buds 4 and Xiaomi Sound Pro were also unveiled at the launch event in China. Also, a Xiaomi Router 10000 was introduced.
The Xiaomi Mini PC, a compact mainstream performance desktop that weighs only 437g, is called the “compact mainstream desktop”. The 12th generation Core i5-1240P processor powers the device with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.4GHz. This is paired to Intel Iris Xe graphics (880EUs).
The storage aspect of Xiaomi mini PC is 16GB DDR4 RAM that can be expanded up to 32GB or 512GB PCle 4.SSD, which can expand up to 4TB SSD ROM.
The Xiaomi Mini PC heat management system includes a 4600RPM fan, dual heat pipe heat dissipation systems that help keep the temperature of the device under control.
The Xiaomi Mini PC is pre-installed with Windows 11 and supports Ubuntu, OpenWWRT and UNRAID operating systems. There are ports to connect external graphics cards and hard drives. Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 support are also available.
Xiaomi launched two versions its Mini PCs. The Standard Version has 512GB storage and costs RMB 3999 (Rs 47,000). The Mini PC Storage-free Version costs RMB 2999 (Rs 35,000.) The standard version of the Mini PC is already on sale in China. However, the storage-free version will be available to purchase starting December 14, via official channels in China.
Xiaomi is now a player in the computer market, but Apple has been manufacturing Mini PCs since 2005. Talks are now rife about a Mac Mini refresh that will replace the current Intel version.
